Tournament Registrations
We do not have a specific capacity for each of the tournaments. However, as
we see how demand shapes up we may have to impose one. It is possible that
those who register later may find themselves on the waiting list. If so, they
will be notified and can withdraw or wait. Remember that you must prepay
to be on the waiting list for a tournament, and that you cannot get added to
a waiting list after registration closes on July 16.
If you find yourself on the waiting list you can cancel that part of the
registration (contact Nick Christenson to do this), or you can hope you
clear it. We will update the event list as we receive cancellations. On
the day of the tournament we will clear the existing wait list at 30
minutes prior to the start of the tournament. You must be present
if your name is called. We will not hold your place on the wait list,
and we will not clear any wait list entries as the start of the tournament
approaches.
We will accept cancellations for the tournaments. If you are cancelling via
e-mail we'll accept the cancellation up to 24 hours prior to the start of the
tournament, subject to your e-mail being received. We are not responsible for
connectivity problems on our part. If you are cancelling in person, we'll
accept the cancellation until 1 hour prior to the start of the tournament.
All cancellations are subject to our being able to resell the seat to someone
on the wait list.
Rules
Please read and understand all of the following rules before
registering.
- BARGE is an Internet event. Therefore each person registering must
have an Internet account and register for themselves. For certain events
(e.g., the banquet) you may bring additional people. An option for this
is included on the registraton form below.
- All registrations are to be paid at the time of registration using
Visa or Mastercard. We'll also accept checks, but this will
delay your registration.
- Be sure you understand the wait-list and tournament cancellation
policy above.
- Registrations may be cancelled prior to July 21. All event feels
for cancellations made before this deadline will be refunded except for
the $25.00 registration fee, which still counts toward your BARGE
membership for the forthcoming year.
After July 21 event fee refunds will be at the sole discretion of the
organizers and will depend, in part, on our ability to resell seats and
recover costs. If you need to cancel, even if it's after the deadline,
it is in your best interest to contact the organizers as early
as possible.
No refunds will be issued until September, 2009.
- Our liability in the event of cancellations: Should any event
in BARGE be cancelled, even at the last minute, our liability is limited
to the amount you paid for that event. You will receive a full refund of
fees paid for that event subject to our ability to collect any fees
already paid to or deposited with the host casino or other vendor. In no
case will the $25.00 registration fee be refundable as it represents costs
incurred.
- Bring all disputes to the attention of the organizers prior to contacting
your bank or credit card issuer. Anyone who files a dispute with their
bank or credit card issuer prior to trying to resolve the problem with
the organizers will be barred from attending this or any future
BARGE!
- Uncollectable registration payments will be assessed a $50.00 penalty
and you may be barred from attending future ARG events.
- All fees mentioned above will be used to cover expenses or placed in
the BARGE fund.
